  • Matt 21:1-9 : 1 And when they drew near to Jerusalem and came to Bethphage, near the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples, 2 Saying to them, Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Untie them and bring them to me. 3 And if anyone says anything to you, you shall say, The Lord needs them; and immediately he will send them. 4 All this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, 5 Tell the daughter of Zion, Behold, your King comes to you, gentle, and sitting on a donkey, and a colt, the foal of a donkey. 6 And the disciples went and did as Jesus commanded them, 7 And brought the donkey and the colt, and put their cloaks on them, and he sat on them. 8 And a very great multitude spread their garments on the road; others cut down branches from the trees and spread them on the road. 9 And the multitudes that went before, and those that followed, cried out, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest! 10 And when he came into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this? 11 And the multitude said, This is Jesus, the prophet of Nazareth in Galilee. 12 And Jesus went into the temple of God, and drove out all those who sold and bought in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers, and the seats of those who sold doves, 13 And said to them, It is written, My house shall be called a house of prayer; but you have made it a den of thieves. 14 And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple, and he healed them. 15 And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying out in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David, they were very displeased, 16 And said to him, Do you hear what these say? And Jesus said to them, Yes; have you never read, Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants you have perfected praise? 17 And he left them, and went out of the city to Bethany, and lodged there. 18 Now in the morning, as he returned to the city, he was hungry. 19 And when he saw a fig tree by the road, he came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, Let no fruit grow on you ever again. And immediately the fig tree withered away. 20 And when the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, How quickly the fig tree withered away! 21 Jesus answered and said to them, Truly I say to you, If you have faith, and do not doubt, you shall not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, Be removed and be thrown into the sea; it shall be done. 22 And all things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive. 23 And when he came into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to him as he was teaching and said, By what authority do you do these things? And who gave you this authority? 24 And Jesus answered and said to them, I also will ask you one thing, which if you tell me, I likewise will tell you by what authority I do these things. 25 The baptism of John, where was it from? From heaven, or from men? And they reasoned among themselves, saying, If we say, From heaven, he will say to us, Why then did you not believe him? 26 But if we say, From men; we fear the people, for all hold John as a prophet. 27 And they answered Jesus and said, We do not know. And he said to them, Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things. 28 But what do you think? A certain man had two sons, and he came to the first and said, Son, go work today in my vineyard. 29 He answered and said, I will not; but afterward he repented and went. 30 And he came to the second and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir; but he did not go. 31 Which of the two did the will of his father? They said to him, The first. Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you, that tax collectors and harlots go into the kingdom of God before you. 32 For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him; but the tax collectors and harlots believed him, and when you had seen it, you did not afterward repent and believe him. 33 Hear another parable: There was a certain landowner who planted a vineyard and hedged it around, dug a winepress in it, built a tower, and leased it to vine dressers, and went into a far country. 34 And when the time of fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the vine dressers, that they might receive the fruits of it. 35 And the vine dressers took his servants, beat one, killed another, and stoned another. 36 Again, he sent other servants more than the first, and they did likewise to them. 37 But last of all, he sent his son to them, saying, They will respect my son. 38 But when the vine dressers saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance. 39 And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and killed him. 40 When therefore the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vine dressers? 41 They said to him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will lease his vineyard to other vine dressers who will render him the fruits in their seasons. 42 Jesus said to them, Did you never read in the Scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. This is the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes? 43 Therefore I say to you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you and given to a nation producing its fruits. 44 And whoever falls on this stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder. 45 And when the chief priests and Pharisees heard his parables, they perceived that he spoke of them. 46 But when they sought to seize him, they feared the multitude because they considered him a prophet.
  • Matt 26:1-9 : 1 And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said to his disciples, 2 You know that after two days is the feast of the Passover, and the Son of Man is betrayed to be crucified. 3 Then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, to the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas, 4 And consulted that they might take Jesus by stealth, and kill him. 5 But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar among the people. 6 Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, 7 There came to him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at the table. 8 But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste? 9 For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor. 10 When Jesus understood it, he said to them, Why trouble you the woman? for she has worked a good work on me. 11 For you always have the poor with you; but me you do not always have. 12 For in that she has poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial. 13 Truly I say to you, Wherever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, what this woman has done, be told for a memorial of her. 14 Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests, 15 And said to them, What will you give me, and I will deliver him to you? And they agreed with him for thirty pieces of silver. 16 And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him. 17 Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying to him, Where do you wish for us to prepare for you to eat the Passover? 18 And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say to him, The Master says, My time is at hand; I will keep the Passover at your house with my disciples. 19 And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the Passover. 20 Now when the evening was come, he sat down with the twelve. 21 And as they did eat, he said, Truly I say to you, that one of you shall betray me. 22 And they were exceedingly sorrowful, and began every one of them to say to him, Lord, is it I? 23 And he answered and said, He that dips his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me. 24 The Son of Man goes as it is written about him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! it would have been good for that man if he had not been born. 25 Then Judas, who betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said to him, You have said it. 26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and broke it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. 27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink of it, all of you;
