12 But his master said to him, "We will not turn aside into a city of foreigners, who are not of the children of Israel; we will go on to Gibeah."
14 So they passed on and went their way, and the sun went down upon them when they were near Gibeah, which belongs to Benjamin.
15 They turned aside there to go in to lodge in Gibeah, and when he went in, he sat down in a street of the city, for there was no one who took them into his house to lodge.
16 And behold, there came an old man from his work out of the field at evening, who was also from Mount Ephraim, and he sojourned in Gibeah; but the men of the place were Benjamites.
17 When he lifted up his eyes, he saw a traveler in the street of the city, and the old man said, "Where are you going? And where do you come from?"
18 He said to him, "We are traveling from Bethlehem in Judah toward the side of Mount Ephraim. I am from there, and I went to Bethlehem in Judah, but now I am going to the house of the LORD, and there is no one who receives me into their house.
19 Yet there is both straw and feed for our donkeys, and there is bread and wine also for me, for your maidservant, and for the young man who is with your servants. There is no lack of anything."
20 And the old man said, "Peace be with you; however, let all your needs lie upon me; only do not lodge in the street."
21 So he brought him into his house and fed the donkeys, and they washed their feet, and ate and drank.
22 As they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain sons of Belial, surrounded the house, and beat at the door, and spoke to the master of the house, the old man, saying, "Bring out the man who came into your house, that we may know him."
23 And the man, the master of the house, went out to them and said to them, "No, my brothers, no, I beg you, do not act so wickedly, seeing this man has come into my house; do not do this disgraceful thing.
2 And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and spend the night, and wash your feet, and you shall rise early and go on your way. And they said, No; but we will stay in the street all night.
3 But he pressed upon them greatly, so they turned to him and entered his house. He made them a feast, and baked unleavened bread, and they ate.
4 And the Levite, the husband of the woman who was slain, answered and said, I came into Gibeah that belongs to Benjamin, I and my concubine, to lodge.
5 And the men of Gibeah rose against me, and surrounded the house by night, and thought to have killed me; and my concubine they forced, that she is dead.
8 And all the people arose as one, saying, None of us will go to his tent, nor will any of us turn into his house.
9 But now this is what we will do to Gibeah: we will go up by lot against it;
10 And we will take ten men out of every hundred throughout all the tribes of Israel, a hundred out of a thousand, and a thousand out of ten thousand, to bring food for the people, that they may do, when they come to Gibeah of Benjamin, according to all the folly they have committed in Israel.

7 And there was a young man out of Bethlehem in Judah of the family of Judah, who was a Levite, and he stayed there.
8 And the man departed out of the city from Bethlehem in Judah to sojourn where he could find a place: and he came to mount Ephraim to the house of Micah, as he journeyed.
9 And Micah said to him, Where do you come from? And he said to him, I am a Levite of Bethlehem in Judah, and I go to stay where I may find a place.
29 They have gone over the pass: they have taken up their lodging at Geba; Ramah is afraid; Gibeah of Saul has fled.
19 And the children of Israel rose up in the morning, and encamped against Gibeah.
