Verse 1

I will sing of mercy and judgment: to you, O LORD, will I sing.

I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD, will I sing.

Verse 2

I will conduct myself wisely in a blameless way. O when will you come to me? I will walk within my house with a blameless heart.

I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.

Verse 3

I will set no wicked thing before my eyes: I hate the work of those who turn aside; it shall not cling to me.

I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.

Verse 4

A perverse heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person.

A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person.

Verse 5

Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, him will I cut off: him that has a haughty look and a proud heart I will not endure.

Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.

Verse 6

My eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he who walks in a blameless way, he shall serve me.

Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.

Verse 7

He who works deceit shall not dwell within my house: he who tells lies shall not remain in my presence.

He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.

Verse 8

I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the LORD.
