Verse 1

LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! Many are they that rise up against me.

Many there are who say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.

But you, O LORD, are a shield for me; my glory and the lifter of my head.

But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

I cried to the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.

I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.

Verse 5

I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the LORD sustained me.

I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.

Verse 6

I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around.

I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.

Verse 7

Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: for you have smitten all my enemies on the cheekbone; you have broken the teeth of the ungodly.

Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.

Verse 8

Salvation belongs to the LORD; your blessing is upon your people. Selah.

Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.
