Verse 1

O LORD, do not rebuke me in Your anger, nor chasten me in Your hot displeasure.

O LORD, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.

Verse 2

Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are troubled.

Verse 3

My soul is also greatly troubled: but You, O LORD, how long?

My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long?

Verse 4

Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: save me for Your mercy’s sake.

Verse 5

For in death there is no remembrance of You: in the grave, who shall give You thanks?

I am weary with my groaning; all the night I make my bed swim; I drench my couch with my tears.

Verse 7

My eye is consumed because of grief; it grows old because of all my enemies.

Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies.

Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity; for the LORD has heard the voice of my weeping.

Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping.

The LORD has heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.

Verse 10

Let all my enemies be ashamed and greatly troubled: let them turn back and be ashamed suddenly.

Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly.
