Verse 1

In you, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be put to confusion.

In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.

Verse 2

Deliver me in your righteousness, and cause me to escape; incline your ear to me, and save me.

Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me.

Be my strong dwelling, where I may continually come; you have given commandment to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress.

Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress.

Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.

For you are my hope, O Lord GOD; you are my trust from my youth.

By you have I been upheld from birth; you are he who took me out of my mother's womb; my praise shall be continually of you.

By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee.

Verse 7

I am as a wonder to many; but you are my strong refuge.

Let my mouth be filled with your praise and with your honor all the day.

Verse 9

Do not cast me off in the time of old age; do not forsake me when my strength fails.

Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.

Verse 10

For my enemies speak against me; and those who lie in wait for my soul take counsel together,

For mine enemies speak against me; and they that lay wait for my soul take counsel together,

Verse 11

Saying, God has forsaken him; pursue and take him, for there is none to deliver him.

Saying, God hath forsaken him: persecute and take him; for there is none to deliver him.

Verse 12

O God, be not far from me; O my God, make haste to help me.

O God, be not far from me: O my God, make haste for my help.

Verse 13

Let them be confounded and consumed who are adversaries to my soul; let them be covered with reproach and dishonor who seek my hurt.

Verse 14

But I will hope continually, and will yet praise you more and more.

Verse 15

My mouth shall show forth your righteousness and your salvation all the day; for I do not know the limits thereof.

Verse 16

I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD; I will make mention of your righteousness, even of yours only.

Verse 17

O God, you have taught me from my youth; and until now have I declared your wondrous works.

O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.

Verse 18

Now also when I am old and gray-headed, O God, do not forsake me, until I have shown your strength to this generation, and your power to everyone that is to come.

Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come.

Verse 19

Your righteousness also, O God, is very high, who has done great things; O God, who is like unto you!

Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high, who hast done great things: O God, who is like unto thee!

Verse 20

You, who have shown me great and severe troubles, shall revive me again, and shall bring me up again from the depths of the earth.

Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth.

You shall increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.

Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.

Verse 22

I will also praise you with the psaltery, even your truth, O my God; to you will I sing with the harp, O Holy One of Israel.

I will also praise thee with the psaltery, even thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.

Verse 23

My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing to you, and my soul, which you have redeemed.

My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed.

Verse 24

My tongue also shall talk of your righteousness all the day long; for they are confounded, for they are brought to shame, who seek my hurt.

My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt.
