  • 1People Commended for Their Faith Now faith is being sure of what we hope for, being convinced of what we do not see.

  • 2Carry one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

  • 3because we recall in the presence of our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and endurance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

  • 13Therefore, get your minds ready for action by being fully sober, and set your hope completely on the grace that will be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed.

  • 7And our hope for you is steadfast because we know that as you share in our sufferings, so also you will share in our comfort.

  • 26If one member suffers, everyone suffers with it. If a member is honored, all rejoice with it.

  • 26Church Order What should you do then, brothers and sisters? When you come together, each one has a song, has a lesson, has a revelation, has a tongue, has an interpretation. Let all these things be done for the strengthening of the church.

  • 8Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of respect, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if something is excellent or praiseworthy, think about these things.

  • 5You, however, be self-controlled in all things, endure hardship, do an evangelist’s work, fulfill your ministry.
