11 Then Samuel said to Jesse,“Is that all of the young men?” Jesse replied,“There is still the youngest one, but he’s taking care of the flock.” Samuel said to Jesse,“Send and get him, for we cannot turn our attention to other things until he comes here.”
11 The woman replied,“Who is it that I should bring up for you?” He said,“Bring up for me Samuel.”
12 When the woman saw Samuel, she cried out loudly. The woman said to Saul,“Why have you deceived me? You are Saul!”
1 Saul Is Rejected as King Then Samuel said to Saul,“I was the one the LORD sent to anoint you as king over his people Israel. Now listen to what the LORD says.
17 When Saul recognized David’s voice, he said,“Is that your voice, my son David?” David replied,“Yes, it’s my voice, my lord the king.”
