19Elijah went from there and found Elisha son of Shaphat. He was plowing with twelve pairs of oxen; he was near the twelfth pair. Elijah passed by him and threw his robe over him.

15The LORD’s angel said to Elijah,“Go down with him. Don’t be afraid of him.” So he got up and went down with him to the king.
7As Obadiah was traveling along, Elijah met him. When he recognized him, he fell facedown to the ground and said,“Is it really you, my master, Elijah?”

21One day some men were burying a man when they spotted a raiding party. So they threw the dead man into Elisha’s tomb. When the body touched Elisha’s bones, the dead man came to life and stood on his feet.
15Elisha told him,“Take a bow and some arrows,” and he did so.
20When they had entered Samaria, Elisha said,“O LORD, open their eyes, so they can see.” The LORD opened their eyes and they saw that they were in the middle of Samaria.
17Then Elisha prayed,“O LORD, open his eyes so he can see.” The LORD opened the servant’s eyes and he saw that the hill was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
18As they approached him, Elisha prayed to the LORD,“Strike these people with blindness.” The LORD struck them with blindness as Elisha requested.
46Now the LORD energized Elijah with power; he tucked his robe into his belt and ran ahead of Ahab all the way to Jezreel.
1Jehu Becomes King Now Elisha the prophet summoned a member of the prophetic guild and told him,“Tuck your robes into your belt, take this container of olive oil in your hand, and go to Ramoth Gilead.

9So Naaman came with his horses and chariots and stood in the doorway of Elisha’s house.
14He left Elisha and went to his master. Ben Hadad asked him,“What did Elisha tell you?” Hazael replied,“He told me you would surely recover.”
32Now Elisha was sitting in his house with the community leaders. The king sent a messenger on ahead, but before he arrived, Elisha said to the leaders,“Do you realize this assassin intends to cut off my head? Look, when the messenger arrives, shut the door and lean against it. His master will certainly be right behind him.”
13When Elijah heard it, he covered his face with his robe and went out and stood at the entrance to the cave. All of a sudden a voice asked him,“Why are you here, Elijah?”
22The water has been pure to this very day, just as Elisha prophesied.
23Elijah took the boy, brought him down from the upper room to the house, and handed him to his mother. Elijah then said,“See, your son is alive!”
