An Angel Appears to Daniel In the third year of King Cyrus of Persia a message was revealed to Daniel(who was also called Belteshazzar). This message was true and concerned a great war. He understood the message and gained insight by the vision.

It read: 2 “This is what King Cyrus of Persia says:“‘The LORD God of heaven has given me all the kingdoms of the earth. He has appointed me to build a temple for him in Jerusalem, which is in Judah.

Then let the king send us a decision concerning this matter.”

  • 15Now the wise men and astrologers were brought before me to read this writing and make known to me its interpretation. But they were unable to disclose the interpretation of the message.
