6opened it, and saw the child– a boy, crying!– and she felt compassion for him and said,“This is one of the Hebrews’ children.”
7Then his sister said to Pharaoh’s daughter,“Shall I go and get a nursing woman for you from the Hebrews, so that she may nurse the child for you?”
8Pharaoh’s daughter said to her,“Yes, do so.” So the young girl went and got the child’s mother.
9Pharaoh’s daughter said to her,“Take this child and nurse him for me, and I will pay your wages.” So the woman took the child and nursed him.
10When the child grew older she brought him to Pharaoh’s daughter, and he became her son. She named him Moses, saying,“Because I drew him from the water.”

5and all the firstborn in the land of Egypt will die, from the firstborn son of Pharaoh who sits on his throne, to the firstborn son of the slave girl who is at her hand mill, and all the firstborn of the cattle.
22You must say to Pharaoh,‘This is what the LORD has said,“Israel is my son, my firstborn,
23and I said to you,‘Let my son go that he may serve me,’ but since you have refused to let him go, I will surely kill your son, your firstborn!”’”
23By faith, when Moses was born, his parents hid him for three months, because they saw the child was beautiful and they were not afraid of the king’s edict.
29The Deliverance from Egypt It happened at midnight– the LORD attacked all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was in the prison, and all the firstborn of the cattle.

20Those of Pharaoh’s servants who feared the LORD’s message hurried to bring their servants and livestock into the houses,

24Then Pharaoh summoned Moses and said,“Go, serve the LORD– only your flocks and herds will be detained. Even your families may go with you.”
4Now the Egyptians were burying all their firstborn, whom the LORD had killed among them; the LORD also executed judgments on their gods.
