The Presence of the Lord Moses took the tent and pitched it outside the camp, at a good distance from the camp, and he called it the tent of meeting. Anyone seeking the LORD would go out to the tent of meeting that was outside the camp.

  • 20When the cloud remained over the tabernacle a number of days, they remained camped according to the LORD’s commandment, and according to the LORD’s commandment they would journey.

  • 24So Moses went out and told the people the words of the LORD. He then gathered seventy men of the elders of the people and had them stand around the tabernacle.

  • 7but you must not go out from the entrance of the Meeting Tent lest you die, for the LORD’s anointing oil is on you.” So they acted according to the word of Moses.

  • 22And he put the table in the tent of meeting, on the north side of the tabernacle, outside the curtain.

  • 5So they came near and carried them away in their tunics to a place outside the camp just as Moses had spoken.

  • 29He also put the altar for the burnt offering by the entrance to the tabernacle, the tent of meeting, and offered on it the burnt offering and the meal offering, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
