21When the fish that were in the Nile died, the Nile began to stink, so that the Egyptians could not drink water from the Nile. There was blood everywhere in the land of Egypt!
24All the Egyptians dug around the Nile for water to drink, because they could not drink the water of the Nile.
25The Second Blow: Frogs Seven full days passed after the LORD struck the Nile.
9And if they do not believe even these two signs or listen to you, then take some water from the Nile and pour it out on the dry ground. The water you take out of the Nile will become blood on the dry ground.”
3But I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and although I will multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt,
4Pharaoh will not listen to you. I will reach into Egypt and bring out my regiments, my people the Israelites, from the land of Egypt with great acts of judgment.
5Then the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD, when I extend my hand over Egypt and bring the Israelites out from among them.
15Go to Pharaoh in the morning when he goes out to the water. Position yourself to meet him by the edge of the Nile, and take in your hand the staff that was turned into a snake.
16Tell him,‘The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to you to say,“Release my people, that they may serve me in the wilderness!” But until now you have not listened.
44He turned their rivers into blood, and they could not drink from their streams.
15The LORD will divide the gulf of the Egyptian Sea; he will wave his hand over the Euphrates River and send a strong wind, he will turn it into seven dried-up streams, and enable them to walk across in their sandals.
19I will execute judgments on Egypt. Then they will know that I am the LORD.’”
20In the eleventh year, in the first month, on the seventh day of the month, the LORD’s message came to me:
5The LORD said to Moses,“Go over before the people; take with you some of the elders of Israel and take in your hand your staff with which you struck the Nile and go.
6I will be standing before you there on the rock in Horeb, and you will strike the rock, and water will come out of it so that the people may drink.” And Moses did so in plain view of the elders of Israel.
8The LORD said to Moses and Aaron,
9“When Pharaoh says to you,‘Do a miracle,’ and you say to Aaron,‘Take your staff and throw it down before Pharaoh,’ it will become a snake.”
10When Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh, they did so, just as the LORD had commanded them– Aaron threw down his staff before Pharaoh and his servants and it became a snake.
5The LORD spoke to Moses,“Tell Aaron,‘Extend your hand with your staff over the rivers, over the canals, and over the ponds, and bring the frogs up over the land of Egypt.’”
9The land of Egypt will become a desolate ruin. Then they will know that I am the LORD. Because he said,“The Nile is mine and I made it,”
29He turned their water into blood, and killed their fish.
6Then all those living in Egypt will know that I am the LORD because they were a reed staff for the house of Israel;
20So I will extend my hand and strike Egypt with all my wonders that I will do among them, and after that he will release you.
16And as for you, lift up your staff and extend your hand toward the sea and divide it, so that the Israelites may go through the middle of the sea on dry ground.
14For this time I will send all my plagues on your very self and on your servants and your people, so that you may know that there is no one like me in all the earth.
15For by now I could have stretched out my hand and struck you and your people with plague, and you would have been destroyed from the earth.
5The water of the sea will be dried up, and the river will dry up and be empty.
2But if you refuse to release them, then I am going to plague all your territory with frogs.
17You will also take in your hand this staff, with which you will do the signs.”
3Tell them,‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says:“‘Look, I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great monster lying in the midst of its waterways, who has said,“My Nile is my own, I made it for myself.”
13The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are, so that when I see the blood I will pass over you, and this plague will not fall on you to destroy you when I attack the land of Egypt.
4Then the third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and the springs of water, and they turned into blood.
14Then I will make their waters calm, and will make their streams flow like olive oil, declares the Sovereign LORD.
15When I turn the land of Egypt into desolation and the land is destitute of everything that fills it, when I strike all those who live in it, then they will know that I am the LORD.’
22But on that day I will mark off the land of Goshen, where my people are staying, so that no swarms of flies will be there, that you may know that I am the LORD in the midst of this land.
26The LORD said to Moses,“Extend your hand toward the sea, so that the waters may flow back on the Egyptians, on their chariots, and on their horsemen!”
11The LORD will cross the sea of storms and will calm its turbulence. The depths of the Nile will dry up, the pride of Assyria will be humbled, and the domination of Egypt will be no more.
2and in order that in the hearing of your son and your grandson you may tell how I made fools of the Egyptians and about my signs that I displayed among them, so that you may know that I am the Lord.”
20The Fourth Blow: Flies The LORD said to Moses,“Get up early in the morning and position yourself before Pharaoh as he goes out to the water, and tell him,‘This is what the LORD has said,“Release my people that they may serve me!
2The LORD said to him,“What is that in your hand?” He said,“A staff.”
17I too will clap my hands together, I will exhaust my rage; I the LORD have spoken.”
16The Third Blow: Gnats The LORD said to Moses,“Tell Aaron,‘Extend your staff and strike the dust of the ground, and it will become gnats throughout all the land of Egypt.’”
7Then the LORD spoke to Moses:
12Each man threw down his staff, and the staffs became snakes. But Aaron’s staff swallowed up their staffs.
12I will dry up the waterways and hand the land over to evil men. I will make the land and everything in it desolate by the hand of foreigners. I, the LORD, have spoken!
