31So I have poured my anger on them, and destroyed them with the fire of my fury. I hereby repay them for what they have done, declares the Sovereign LORD.”
31I will pour out my anger on you; the fire of my fury I will blow on you. I will hand you over to brutal men, who are skilled in destruction.

8The LORD was angry at Judah and Jerusalem and made them an appalling object of horror at which people hiss out their scorn, as you can see with your own eyes.
16In this way I will pass sentence on the people of Jerusalem and Judah because of all their wickedness. For they rejected me and offered sacrifices to other gods, worshiping what they made with their own hands.”
11I am as full of anger as you are, LORD, I am tired of trying to hold it in.”The LORD answered,“Vent it, then, on the children who play in the street and on the young men who are gathered together. Husbands and wives are to be included, as well as the old and those who are advanced in years.

10When I please, I will discipline them; I will gather nations together to attack them, to bind them in chains for their two sins.
17They will surround Jerusalem like men guarding a field because they have rebelled against me,” says the LORD.
13So this sin will become your downfall. You will be like a high wall that bulges and cracks and is ready to collapse; it crumbles suddenly, in a flash.
18So I poured my anger on them because of the blood they shed on the land and because of the idols with which they defiled it.
10Condemn them, O God! May their own schemes be their downfall! Drive them away because of their many acts of insurrection, for they have rebelled against you.
13“Do so because my people have committed a double wrong: they have rejected me, the fountain of life-giving water, and they have dug cisterns for themselves, cracked cisterns which cannot even hold water.”
3Therefore the LORD says this:“Look, I am devising disaster for this nation! It will be like a yoke from which you cannot free your neck. You will no longer walk proudly, for it will be a time of catastrophe.
5I will go to the leaders and speak with them. Surely they know what the LORD demands. Surely they know what their God requires of them.” Yet all of them, too, have rejected his authority and refuse to submit to him.
37Their peaceful dwelling places will be laid waste by the fierce anger of the LORD.
11I will destroy the cities of your land, and tear down all your fortresses.
9On that day I will punish all who leap over the threshold, who fill the house of their master with wealth taken by violence and deceit.
10Therefore they have more than enough food to eat, and even suck up the water of the sea.
