Jeremiah 37:15

The officials were very angry at Jeremiah. They had him flogged and put in prison in the house of Jonathan, the royal secretary, which they had converted into a place for confining prisoners.

  • 27 You should have reprimanded Jeremiah from Anathoth who is pretending to be a prophet among you!

  • 15 Ammon’s king will be deported; he and his officials will be carried off together.” The LORD has spoken!

  • 5 Then Jeremiah told Baruch,“I am no longer allowed to go into the LORD’s temple.

  • 23 After they had beaten them severely, they threw them into prison and commanded the jailer to guard them securely.

  • 8 The LORD was angry at Judah and Jerusalem and made them an appalling object of horror at which people hiss out their scorn, as you can see with your own eyes.

  • 8 The Babylonians burned down the royal palace, the temple of the LORD, and the people’s homes, and they tore down the wall of Jerusalem.
