I looked and saw that the fruitful land had become a desert and that all of the cities had been laid in ruins. The LORD had brought this all about because of his blazing anger.

    24 Then all the nations will ask,“Why has the LORD done all this to this land? What is this fierce, heated display of anger all about?”

  • 2 ב(Bet) The Lord destroyed mercilessly all the homes of Jacob’s descendants. In his anger he tore down the fortified cities of Daughter Judah. He knocked to the ground and humiliated the kingdom and its rulers.

  • 4 I will lay waste your cities; and you will become desolate. Then you will know that I am the LORD!

  • 4 The mountains will crumble beneath him; and the valleys will split apart, like wax before a fire, like water dumped down a steep slope.

  • 8 Look, the Sovereign LORD is watching the sinful nation, and I will destroy it from the face of the earth. But I will not completely destroy the family of Jacob,” says the LORD.
