13“With God are wisdom and power; counsel and understanding are his.
5My dynasty is approved by God, for he has made a perpetual covenant with me, arranged in all its particulars and secured. He always delivers me, and brings all I desire to fruition.
15If I had publicized these thoughts, I would have betrayed your people.
12As for me, you uphold me because of my integrity; you allow me permanent access to your presence.
14then what will I do when God confronts me in judgment; when he intervenes, how will I respond to him?
14For he fulfills his decree against me, and many such things are his plans.
15I was eyes for the blind and feet for the lame;
15or with princes who possessed gold, who filled their palaces with silver.
16Or why was I not buried like a stillborn infant, like infants who have never seen the light?
21if I have raised my hand to vote against the orphan, when I saw my support in the court,
10Then I would yet have my comfort, then I would rejoice, in spite of pitiless pain, for I have not concealed the words of the Holy One.
4God’s questions to Job“Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you possess understanding!
2Moreover, the strength of their hands– what use was it to me? Men whose strength had perished;
10But he knows the pathway that I take; if he tested me, I would come forth like gold.
11My feet have followed his steps closely; I have kept to his way and have not turned aside.
15my bones were not hidden from you, when I was made in secret and sewed together in the depths of the earth.
16Your eyes saw me when I was inside the womb. All the days ordained for me were recorded in your scroll before one of them came into existence.
23From eternity I have been fashioned, from the beginning, from before the world existed.
