15The LORD told Joshua,
3On the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin must be circumcised.
6The LORD your God will also cleanse your heart and the hearts of your descendants so that you may love him with all your mind and being and so that you may live.
10At that time Joshua turned, captured Hazor, and struck down its king with the sword, for Hazor was at that time the leader of all these kingdoms.
13So Joshua destroyed Amalek and his army with the sword.

27and that day made them woodcutters and water carriers for the community and for the altar of the LORD at the divinely chosen site.(They continue in that capacity to this very day.)
1Joshua Challenges Israel to be Faithful A long time passed after the LORD made Israel secure from all their enemies, and Joshua was very old.
2The LORD told Joshua,“See, I am about to defeat Jericho for you, along with its king and its warriors.
3Have all the warriors march around the city one time; do this for six days.
24When Israel had finished killing all the men of Ai who had chased them toward the wilderness(they all fell by the sword), all Israel returned to Ai and put the sword to it.
5Joshua told them,“Go in front of the ark of the LORD your God to the middle of the Jordan. Each of you is to put a stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the Israelite tribes.
22However, because Moses gave you the practice of circumcision(not that it came from Moses, but from the forefathers), you circumcise a male child on the Sabbath.
22Only on this one condition will these men consent to live with us and become one people: They demand that every male among us be circumcised just as they are circumcised.
21I also commanded Joshua at the same time,“You have seen everything the LORD your God did to these two kings; he will do the same to all the kingdoms where you are going.
7And he told the army,“Move ahead and march around the city, with armed troops going ahead of the ark of the LORD.”
12Joshua captured all these royal cities and all their kings and annihilated them with the sword, as Moses the LORD’s servant had commanded.
