29 They cried out,“Son of God, leave us alone! Have you come here to torment us before the time?”
30 A large herd of pigs was feeding some distance from them.
31 Then the demons begged him,“If you drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs.”
32 And he said,“Go!” So they came out and went into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep slope into the lake and drowned in the water.

31 And they began to beg him not to order them to depart into the abyss.

33 So the demons came out of the man and went into the pigs, and the herd of pigs rushed down the steep slope into the lake and drowned.
34 When the herdsmen saw what had happened, they ran off and spread the news in the town and countryside.
35 So the people went out to see what had happened, and they came to Jesus. They found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus’ feet, clothed and in his right mind, and they were afraid.
36 Those who had seen it told them how the man who had been demon-possessed had been healed.
37 Then all the people of the Gerasenes and the surrounding region asked Jesus to leave them alone, for they were seized with great fear. So he got into the boat and left.
38 The man from whom the demons had gone out begged to go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying,
39 “Return to your home, and declare what God has done for you.” So he went away, proclaiming throughout the whole town what Jesus had done for him.
33 Now in the synagogue there was a man who had the spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out with a loud voice,
34 “Ha! Leave us alone, Jesus the Nazarene! Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are– the Holy One of God.”
35 But Jesus rebuked him:“Silence! Come out of him!” Then, after the demon threw the man down in their midst, he came out of him without hurting him.

41 Demons also came out of many, crying out,“You are the Son of God!” But he rebuked them, and would not allow them to speak, because they knew that he was the Christ.

26 It shrieked, threw him into terrible convulsions, and came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said,“He is dead!”
38 So he called out,“Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
39 And those who were in front scolded him to get him to be quiet, but he shouted even more,“Son of David, have mercy on me!”
40 So Jesus stopped and ordered the beggar to be brought to him. When the man came near, Jesus asked him,
47 When he heard that it was Jesus the Nazarene, he began to shout,“Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
48 Many scolded him to get him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more,“Son of David, have mercy on me!”
