16 Walking on Water Now when evening came, his disciples went down to the lake,
17 got into a boat, and started to cross the lake to Capernaum.(It had already become dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them.)
18 By now a strong wind was blowing and the sea was getting rough.
19 Then, when they had rowed about three or four miles, they caught sight of Jesus walking on the lake, approaching the boat, and they were frightened.
20 But he said to them,“It is I. Do not be afraid.”
21 Then they wanted to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat came to the land where they had been heading.

3 He got into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little way from the shore. Then Jesus sat down and taught the crowds from the boat.
4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon,“Put out into the deep water and lower your nets for a catch.”
5 Simon answered,“Master, we worked hard all night and caught nothing! But at your word I will lower the nets.”
6 When they had done this, they caught so many fish that their nets started to tear.
7 So they motioned to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both boats, so that they were about to sink.
8 But when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying,“Go away from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man!”
9 For Peter and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish that they had taken,
6 He told them,“Throw your net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they threw the net, and were not able to pull it in because of the large number of fish.
7 Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter,“It is the Lord!” So Simon Peter, when he heard that it was the Lord, tucked in his outer garment(for he had nothing on underneath it), and plunged into the sea.
