37As he approached the road leading down from the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of his disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen:

6So the disciples went and did as Jesus had instructed them.
7They brought the donkey and the colt and placed their cloaks on them, and he sat on them.
8A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road. Others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road.
9The crowds that went ahead of him and those following kept shouting,“Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”
10As he entered Jerusalem the whole city was thrown into an uproar, saying,“Who is this?”
7Then they brought the colt to Jesus, threw their cloaks on it, and he sat on it.
8Many spread their cloaks on the road and others spread branches they had cut in the fields.
9Both those who went ahead and those who followed kept shouting,“Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord!
10Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the highest!”
11Then Jesus entered Jerusalem and went to the temple. And after looking around at everything, he went out to Bethany with the twelve since it was already late.
12Cursing of the Fig Tree Now the next day, as they went out from Bethany, he was hungry.

13So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him. They began to shout,“Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the king of Israel!”
14Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, just as it is written,
15“Do not be afraid, people of Zion; look, your king is coming, seated on a donkey’s colt!”
17Third Prediction of Jesus’ Death and Resurrection As Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve aside privately and said to them on the way,
