11and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.
12Keep Going Forward Not that I have already attained this– that is, I have not already been perfected– but I strive to lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus also laid hold of me.
13Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself to have attained this. Instead I am single-minded: Forgetting the things that are behind and reaching out for the things that are ahead,
14with this goal in mind, I strive toward the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
15Therefore let those of us who are“perfect” embrace this point of view. If you think otherwise, God will reveal to you the error of your ways.
7But these assets I have come to regard as liabilities because of Christ.
8More than that, I now regard all things as liabilities compared to the far greater value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things– indeed, I regard them as dung!– that I may gain Christ,
9and be found in him, not because I have my own righteousness derived from the law, but because I have the righteousness that comes by way of Christ’s faithfulness– a righteousness from God that is in fact based on Christ’s faithfulness.
30since you are encountering the same conflict that you saw me face and now hear that I am facing.
18you will be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,
19and thus to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you will be filled up to all the fullness of God.
3Or do you not know that as many as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
4Therefore we have been buried with him through baptism into death, in order that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too may live a new life.
5For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will certainly also be united in the likeness of his resurrection.
23I do all these things because of the gospel, so that I can be a participant in it.
19for I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.
20My confident hope is that I will in no way be ashamed but that with complete boldness, even now as always, Christ will be exalted in my body, whether I live or die.
21For to me, living is Christ and dying is gain.
22Now if I am to go on living in the body, this will mean productive work for me, yet I don’t know which I prefer:
23I feel torn between the two, because I have a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far,
24Now I rejoice in my sufferings for you, and I fill up in my physical body– for the sake of his body, the church– what is lacking in the sufferings of Christ.
19For through the law I died to the law so that I may live to God.
20I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So the life I now live in the body, I live because of the faithfulness of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
10so that you can decide what is best, and thus be sincere and blameless for the day of Christ,
11filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God.
12Ministry as a Prisoner I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that my situation has actually turned out to advance the gospel:
13The whole imperial guard and everyone else knows that I am in prison for the sake of Christ,
21who will transform these humble bodies of ours into the likeness of his glorious body by means of that power by which he is able to subject all things to himself.
8He humbled himself, by becoming obedient to the point of death– even death on a cross!
13For this reason I ask you not to lose heart because of what I am suffering for you, which is your glory.
10so that you may live worthily of the Lord and please him in all respects– bearing fruit in every good deed, growing in the knowledge of God,
3for you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
10always carrying around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be made visible in our body.
3that by revelation the mystery was made known to me, as I wrote before briefly.
4When reading this, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ
10Continue in What You Have Learned You, however, have followed my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, my faith, my patience, my love, my endurance,
13I am able to do all things through the one who strengthens me.
4– though mine too are significant. If someone thinks he has good reasons to put confidence in human credentials, I have more:
27Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ so that– whether I come and see you or whether I remain absent– I should hear that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind, by contending side by side for the faith of the gospel,
10Therefore I am content with weaknesses, with insults, with troubles, with persecutions and difficulties for the sake of Christ, for whenever I am weak, then I am strong.
13But rejoice in the degree that you have shared in the sufferings of Christ, so that when his glory is revealed you may also rejoice and be glad.
14But may I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
29Toward this goal I also labor, struggling according to his power that powerfully works in me.
18For I consider that our present sufferings cannot even be compared to the coming glory that will be revealed to us.
10The purpose of this enlightenment is that through the church the multifaceted wisdom of God should now be disclosed to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly realms.
31Every day I am in danger of death! This is as sure as my boasting in you, which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord.
8So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me, a prisoner for his sake, but by God’s power accept your share of suffering for the gospel.
17I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, will give you spiritual wisdom and revelation in your growing knowledge of him,
3And I know that this man(whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, God knows)
10So I endure all things for the sake of those chosen by God, that they too may obtain salvation in Christ Jesus and its eternal glory.
