    10The Philistine said, "I defy the armies of Israel this day! Give me a man, that we may fight together!"

    11When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly afraid.

    36Your servant struck both the lion and the bear. This uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, since he has defied the armies of the living God."

    37David said, "Yahweh who delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine." Saul said to David, "Go; and Yahweh shall be with you."

    38Saul dressed David with his clothing. He put a helmet of brass on his head, and he clad him with a coat of mail.
