9Samuel took a suckling lamb, and offered it for a whole burnt offering to Yahweh: and Samuel cried to Yahweh for Israel; and Yahweh answered him.
10As Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel; but Yahweh thundered with a great thunder on that day on the Philistines, and confused them; and they were struck down before Israel.

31When the words were heard which David spoke, they rehearsed them before Saul; and he sent for him.

6Moses and Aaron were among his priests, Samuel among those who call on his name; they called on Yahweh, and he answered them.
11Will the men of Keilah deliver me up into his hand? Will Saul come down, as your servant has heard? Yahweh, the God of Israel, I beg you, tell your servant." Yahweh said, "He will come down."
6It happened, when they had come, that he looked at Eliab, and said, "Surely Yahweh's anointed is before him."
