22As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so you will be melted in its midst; and you will know that I, Yahweh, have poured out my wrath on you.
23The word of Yahweh came to me, saying,
4Take away the dross from the silver, and material comes out for the refiner;
7Therefore thus says Yahweh of Armies, Behold, I will melt them, and try them; for how [else] should I do, because of the daughter of my people?
17For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron. I will also make your officers peace, and righteousness your ruler.
10Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have chosen you in the furnace of affliction.
22Your silver has become dross, your wine mixed with water.
31I will pour out my indignation on you; I will blow on you with the fire of my wrath; and I will deliver you into the hand of brutish men, skillful to destroy.

18For, behold, I have made you this day a fortified city, and an iron pillar, and bronze walls, against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against its princes, against its priests, and against the people of the land.

7For in that day everyone shall cast away his idols of silver and his idols of gold--sin which your own hands have made for you.
11I will cut off the cities of your land, and will tear down all your strongholds.
18Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to deliver them in the day of Yahweh's wrath, but the whole land will be devoured by the fire of his jealousy; for he will make an end, yes, a terrible end, of all those who dwell in the land.

29The bellows blow fiercely; the lead is consumed of the fire: in vain do they go on refining; for the wicked are not plucked away.

14I will uproot your Asherim out of your midst; and I will destroy your cities.
9For, behold, I will shake my hand over them, and they will be a spoil to those who served them; and you will know that Yahweh of Armies has sent me.
12Thus will I do to this place, says Yahweh, and to its inhabitants, even making this city as Topheth:
16Wash yourselves, make yourself clean. Put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes. Cease to do evil.
7I will prepare destroyers against you, everyone with his weapons; and they shall cut down your choice cedars, and cast them into the fire.
19I will break the pride of your power, and I will make your sky like iron, and your soil like brass;
