14"Listen to this, Job. Stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.

16Do you know the workings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him who is perfect in knowledge?
1Then Job answered Yahweh,
3Brace yourself like a man, for I will question you, then you answer me!
4"Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if you have understanding.
19Teach us what we shall tell him, for we can't make our case by reason of darkness.
20Shall it be told him that I would speak? Or should a man wish that he were swallowed up?
8Have you heard the secret counsel of God? Do you limit wisdom to yourself?
9What do you know, that we don't know? What do you understand, which is not in us?
6Then Yahweh answered Job out of the whirlwind,
13Who has directed the Spirit of Yahweh, or has taught him as his counselor?
14Who did he take counsel with, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of justice, and taught him knowledge, and showed him the way of understanding?
24By what way is the lightning distributed, or the east wind scattered on the earth?

12"But where shall wisdom be found? Where is the place of understanding?
22"Shall any teach God knowledge, since he judges those who are high?
1Then Job answered,
13That you turn your spirit against God, and let such words go out of your mouth?
11or darkness, so that you can not see, and floods of waters cover you.
1Then Job answered,
3But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you. Yes, who doesn't know such things as these?
2"Hear my words, you wise men. Give ear to me, you who have knowledge.
15Woe to those who deeply hide their counsel from Yahweh, and whose works are in the dark, and who say, "Who sees us?" and "Who knows us?"
3Do you open your eyes on such a one, and bring me into judgment with you?
