1This is now, beloved, the second letter that I have written to you; and in both of them I stir up your sincere mind by reminding you;

3Beloved, while I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I was constrained to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.
4For there are certain men who crept in secretly, even those who were long ago written about for this condemnation: ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into indecency, and denying our only Master, God, and Lord, Jesus Christ.
5Now I desire to remind you, though you already know this, that the Lord, having saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who didn't believe.
11For thus you will be richly supplied with the entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
12Therefore I will not be negligent to remind you of these things, though you know them, and are established in the present truth.
13I think it right, as long as I am in this tent, to stir you up by reminding you;

9But, beloved, we are persuaded of better things for you, and things that accompany salvation, even though we speak like this.
17Brothers, be imitators together of me, and note those who walk this way, even as you have us for an example.
14Remind them of these things, charging them in the sight of the Lord, that they don't argue about words, to no profit, to the subverting of those who hear.
6If you instruct the brothers of these things, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, nourished in the words of the faith, and of the good doctrine which you have followed.
14Therefore, beloved, seeing that you look for these things, be diligent to be found in peace, without blemish and blameless in his sight.
15Regard the patience of our Lord as salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given to him, wrote to you;

15So then, brothers, stand firm, and hold the traditions which you were taught by us, whether by word, or by letter.
5Beloved, you do a faithful work in whatever you accomplish for those who are brothers and strangers.
4They think it is strange that you don't run with them into the same excess of riot, blaspheming:
8Watch yourselves, that we don't lose the things which we have accomplished, but that we receive a full reward.
1But know this, that in the last days, grievous times will come.
17Now I beg you, brothers, look out for those who are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and turn away from them.
19Again, do you think that we are excusing ourselves to you? In the sight of God we speak in Christ. But all things, beloved, are for your edifying.

1Since many have undertaken to set in order a narrative concerning those matters which have been fulfilled among us,
32But remember the former days, in which, after you were enlightened, you endured a great struggle with sufferings;
12Beloved, don't be astonished at the fiery trial which has come upon you, to test you, as though a strange thing happened to you.
14as children of obedience, not conforming yourselves according to your former lusts as in your ignorance,
20who was foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, but was revealed at the end of times for your sake,
6I marvel that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ to a different "good news";
7and there isn't another "good news." Only there are some who trouble you, and want to pervert the Good News of Christ.
15For this cause I also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which is among you, and the love which you have toward all the saints,
17comfort your hearts and establish you in every good work and word.
6You became imitators of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit,
14For you, brothers, became imitators of the assemblies of God which are in Judea in Christ Jesus; for you also suffered the same things from your own countrymen, even as they did from the Jews;
19So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger;
1God, having in the past spoken to the fathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways,
