12Her rich men are full of violence, Her inhabitants speak lies, And their tongue is deceitful in their speech.
13Their wealth will become a spoil, and their houses a desolation. Yes, they will build houses, but won't inhabit them. They will plant vineyards, but won't drink their wine.
2He said to me, Son of man, these are the men who devise iniquity, and who give wicked counsel in this city;
3who say, [The time] is not near to build houses: this [city] is the caldron, and we are the flesh.
6For thus has Yahweh of Hosts said, Hew you down trees, and cast up a mound against Jerusalem: this is the city to be visited; she is wholly oppression in the midst of her.
23Make the chain; for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence.
17But your eyes and your heart are not but for your covetousness, and for shedding innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do it.
6You have multiplied your slain in this city, and you have filled the streets of it with the slain.
18Woe to those who draw iniquity with cords of falsehood, And wickedness as with cart rope;
11By the blessing of the upright, the city is exalted, But it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
3You shall say, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: A city that sheds blood in the midst of her, that her time may come, and that makes idols against herself to defile her!
12They shall make a spoil of your riches, and make a prey of your merchandise; and they shall break down your walls, and destroy your pleasant houses; and they shall lay your stones and your timber and your dust in the midst of the waters.
1Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, and to the writers who write perverseness;
14For Israel has forgotten his Maker and built palaces; And Judah has multiplied fortified cities; But I will send a fire on his cities, And it will devour its fortresses."
12From out of the populous city, men groan. The soul of the wounded cries out, Yet God doesn't regard the folly.
13Behold, therefore, I have struck my hand at your dishonest gain which you have made, and at your blood which has been in the midst of you.
