8for both, if we may live, to the Lord we live; if also we may die, to the Lord we die; both then if we may live, also if we may die, we are the Lord's;
9for because of this Christ both died and rose again, and lived again, that both of dead and of living he may be Lord.
11Stedfast `is' the word: For if we died together -- we also shall live together;
6so, then, we may not sleep as also the others, but watch and be sober,
7for those sleeping, by night do sleep, and those making themselves drunk, by night are drunken,
8and we, being of the day -- let us be sober, putting on a breastplate of faith and love, and an helmet -- a hope of salvation,
9because God did not appoint us to anger, but to the acquiring of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
6For in our being still ailing, Christ in due time did die for the impious;
7for scarcely for a righteous man will any one die, for for the good man perhaps some one also doth dare to die;
8and God doth commend His own love to us, that, in our being still sinners, Christ did die for us;

12so that, the death indeed in us doth work, and the life in you.
18then, also, those having fallen asleep in Christ did perish;
5even being dead in the trespasses, did make us to live together with the Christ, (by grace ye are having been saved,)
14wherefore he saith, `Arouse thyself, thou who art sleeping, and arise out of the dead, and the Christ shall shine upon thee.'
10for if, being enemies, we have been reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved in his life.
17then we who are living, who are remaining over, together with them shall be caught away in clouds to meet the Lord in air, and so always with the Lord we shall be;
18so, then, comfort ye one another in these words.
9but we ourselves in ourselves the sentence of the death have had, that we may not be trusting on ourselves, but on God, who is raising the dead,
10who out of so great a death did deliver us, and doth deliver, in whom we have hoped that even yet He will deliver;
16in this we have known the love, because he for us his life did lay down, and we ought for the brethren the lives to lay down;
14knowing that He who did raise up the Lord Jesus, us also through Jesus shall raise up, and shall present with you,
5who shall give an account to Him who is ready to judge living and dead,
6for for this also to dead men was good news proclaimed, that they may be judged, indeed, according to men in the flesh, and may live according to God in the spirit.
30Because of this, among you many `are' weak and sickly, and sleep do many;
9Wherefore also we are ambitious, whether at home or away from home, to be well pleasing to him,
4we were buried together, then, with him through the baptism to the death, that even as Christ was raised up out of the dead through the glory of the Father, so also we in newness of life might walk.
5For, if we have become planted together to the likeness of his death, `so' also we shall be of the rising again;
14we -- we have known that we have passed out of the death to the life, because we love the brethren; he who is not loving the brother doth remain in the death.
2let it not be! we who died to the sin -- how shall we still live in it?
16and may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and our God and Father, who did love us, and did give comfort age-during, and good hope in grace,
3not to condemn you do I say `it', for I have said before that in our hearts ye are to die with and to live with;
22for even as in Adam all die, so also in the Christ all shall be made alive,
10and was made manifest now through the manifestation of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who indeed did abolish death, and did enlighten life and immortality through the good news,
10and to wait for His Son from the heavens, whom He did raise out of the dead -- Jesus, who is rescuing us from the anger that is coming.
