Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle.

Riv meg ikke bort sammen med de ugudelige og dem som gjør urett, som taler vennlig med sin neste, men som har ondskap i sitt hjerte.

Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts.

Gi dem etter deres gjerninger, og etter ondskapen i deres handlinger: gi dem etter verkene av deres hender; gi dem det de fortjener.

Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavours: give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert.

Fordi de ikke bryr seg om HERRENs gjerninger, eller hans henders verk, skal han ødelegge dem og ikke bygge dem opp.

Because they regard not the works of the LORD, nor the operation of his hands, he shall destroy them, and not build them up.

Velsignet være HERREN, for han har hørt stemmen av mine bønner.

Blessed be the LORD, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications.

HERREN er min styrke og mitt skjold; mitt hjerte stolte på ham, og jeg ble hjulpet: derfor fryder mitt hjerte seg stort, og med min sang vil jeg prise ham.

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
