A Song of degrees. Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.

For du skal nyte fruktene av ditt arbeid: lykkelig skal du være, og det skal gå deg vel.

For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

Din kone skal være som en fruktbar vintre ved siden av ditt hus; dine barn som oliventreskudd omkring ditt bord.

Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.

Se, slik skal mannen bli velsignet som frykter Herren.

Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD.

Herren skal velsigne deg fra Sion, og du skal se Jerusalems velstand alle ditt livs dager.

The LORD shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.

Ja, du skal se dine barnebarn og fred over Israel.

Yea, thou shalt see thy children's children, and peace upon Israel.
