= a mountain, also known as the mountain of God; ◄ it is located on the {L:Sinai<SDBH:סִינַי>} peninsula, ► and known as the place where God appeared to {L:Moses<SDBH:מֹשֶׁה>} and where later the law was given to {L:Israel<SDBH:יִשְׂרָאֵל>} on their way to the promised land
