    5ስለዚህ እስከ ዛሬ ድረስ በአሽዶድ ያለው የዳጎን ቤት ካህናት ወይም ወደ ዳጎን ቤት የሚገባ ማንኛውም ሰው መደርደሪያውን አይረግጥም።

    6ነገር ግን የእግዚአብሔር እጅ በአሽዶድ ላይ ከባድ ሆነባቸው፤ አጠፋቸውም፥ አሽዶድንና አካባቢዋን ሁሉ በእጢ መታቸው።

    5ስለዚህ የእብጠቶቻችሁ ምስሎችን እና ምድሩን የሚፈርሱ የአይጦቻችሁ ምስሎችን ሠሩ፤ የእስራኤልንም አምላክ ክብር ስጡት፤ ምናልባት እጁን ከእናንተም ከአማልዶቻችሁም ከምድራችሁም ያሳነሳል።

    12ላሞቹም ቀጥ ወደ ቤትሴሜስ ያለውን መንገድ ወሰዱ፤ በመንገዱ ላይ ሲሄዱ እምባባ ሲሉ ሄዱ ወደ ቀኝም ወይም ወደ ግራ አልተመለሱም፤ የፍልስጥናውያንም አለቆች እስከ ቤትሴሜስ ድንበር ድረስ እየተከተሉአቸው ሄዱ።

    13የቤትሴሜስ ሰዎችም በሸለቆው የስንዴያቸውን መከር እያከሩ ነበር፤ ዓይኖቻቸውን አንሥተው ታቦቱን አዩና እያየው ደስ አላቸው።
