    14ኤፍሮንም አብርሃምን እንዲህ ሲል መለሰለት፦

    15ጌታዬ ሆይ፣ ስማኝ፤ መሬቱ የብር አራት መቶ ሰቅል ዋጋ ያለው ነው፤ እኔና አንተ መካከል ያ ምን ነው? ስለዚህ ሙታህን አቀብር.

    16አብርሃምም ለኤፍሮን ሰማ፤ እና አብርሃም በየኬጢ ልጆች ፊት እርሱ የጠቀመውን መጠን የሆነ የብር አራት መቶ ሰቅል በነጋዴ መዘን መዘነለትና ሰጠው.

    17እንዲሁም በማክፔላ ውስጥ ከማምሬ ፊት የሚገኝ የኤፍሮን እርሻ፣ እርሻውም ያለው ዋሻ እና በእርሻው ውስጥ ያሉ ዛፎች ሁሉ በዙሪያው ድንበሮች ሁሉ ጋር በሙሉ ተረጋገጡ።

    18ይህ ሁሉ ለአብርሃም ርስት እንዲሆን በየኬጢ ልጆች ፊት፣ በከተማው በር የገቡ ሁሉ ፊት ተጠናከረ።

    19ከዚህ በኋላ አብርሃም ሚስቱን ሣራን በማክፔላ እርሻ ውስጥ በማምሬ ፊት ባለው ዋሻ አቀበረ፤ ይህም በከነዓን አገር ያለው ኬብሮን ነው።

    20እርሻውና በውስጡ ያለው ዋሻ በየኬጢ ልጆች በኩል ለመቀብር ርስት ሆኖ ለአብርሃም ተጠናከረ።
