    16አብርሃምም ለኤፍሮን ሰማ፤ እና አብርሃም በየኬጢ ልጆች ፊት እርሱ የጠቀመውን መጠን የሆነ የብር አራት መቶ ሰቅል በነጋዴ መዘን መዘነለትና ሰጠው.

    6ጌታዬ ሆይ፣ ስማን፤ በመካከላችን ኀያል መኰንን ነህ። በተመረጡ መቃብሮቻችን ውስጥ ሙታህን ቀብር፤ ሙታህን እንድታቀብር ከእኛ ከማንም ሰው መቃብሩን ከአንተ አንከልክልም.

    7አብርሃምም ተነሥቶ ለአገሩ ሕዝብ፣ እስከ የኬጢ ልጆች ድረስ ፊታቸው ሰገደ.

    8እነርሱንም እንዲህ ሲል ነገራቸው፦ ሙታቴን ከፊቴ ውጭ እንዳቀብር የምትፈልጉ ከሆነ፣ እባካችሁ አድምጡኝ እና ስለኔ የጾሐር ልጅ ኤፍሮንን ማረኩልኝ.
