    41አቢሜሌክም በአሩማ ኖረ፤ ዘቡልም ጋኣልንና ወንድሞቹን ከሴኬም አባረራቸው እንዳይኖሩባት።

    42በማግሥቱም ሕዝቡ ወደ መስክ ወጡ፤ ለአቢሜሌክም ተነገረ።

    43እርሱም ሕዝቡን ወስዶ ሶስት ቡድኖች አደረጋቸው፤ በመስክም ተኝታ አኖሩ፤ ተመልክቶም እነሆ ሕዝቡ ከከተማይቱ ሲወጡ ባየ ጊዜ ተነሥቶ በላያቸው ወጣ መታቸውም።

    52አቢሜሌክም ወደ ምሽጉ ቀረበ በእርሱም ላይ ተዋጋ፤ እሳት ሊያቃጥለው ወደ ምሽጉ መደብ በሩ እጅግ ተቀረበ።

    53ከዚያ አንዲት ሴት የወፍሬ ድንጋይ አንድ ቁራጭ በአቢሜሌክ ራስ ላይ ጣለች፤ ጭንቅላቱንም ሙሉ በሙሉ ሰበረችው።

    54እርሱም ፈጥኖ ወጣቱን የመሣሪያ ተሸካሚውን ጠራና እንዲህ አለው፦ “ሰይፍህን ነቅተህ ግደለኝ፤ ‘ሴት ገደለችው’ እንዳይባል ዘንድ።” ወጣቱም ተሸካሚው በሰይፉ ወግቶ ገደለው፤ እርሱም ሞተ።

    55እስራኤል ሰዎች አቢሜሌክ ሞቶ መሆኑን ባዩ ጊዜ እያንዳንዱ ወደ ቦታው ተመለሰ።

    56እንግዲህ እግዚአብሔር አቢሜሌክ በአባቱ ላይ በወንድሞቹ ሰባ ሰዎች መግደሉ ያደረገውን ክፉ ተመልሶ አሳረደው።
