Du skal ikke spre falske rykter, og du skal ikke slå deg sammen med de onde for å være et urettferdig vitne.

Thou shalt not take up a false report: put not thy hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.

Du skal ikke følge flertallet i å gjøre ondt; du skal heller ikke vitne i en sak for å støtte flertallet i å forvrenge rettferdigheten.

Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to turn aside after a multitude to wrest `justice':

Du skal heller ikke favorisere en fattig i hans sak.

neither shalt thou favor a poor man in his cause.

Om du møter oksene eller eselet til din fiende som har kommet på avveie, skal du sørge for å føre dem tilbake til ham.

If thou meet thine enemy's ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again.

Om du ser eselet til en som hater deg liggende under sin byrde, skal du ikke forlate det, men du skal hjelpe til å løfte byrden av.

If thou see the ass of him that hateth thee lying under his burden, thou shalt forbear to leave him, thou shalt surely release `it' with him.

Du skal ikke forvrenge rettferdigheten for de fattige i deres sak.

Thou shalt not wrest the justice `due' to thy poor in his cause.

Hold deg langt unna falske saker; og den uskyldige og rettferdige skal du ikke drepe, for jeg vil ikke frikjenne den onde.

Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.

Du skal ikke ta imot bestikkelser, for bestikkelser gjør seende blinde og forvrenger ordene til de rettferdige.

And thou shalt take no bribe: for a bribe blindeth them that have sight, and perverteth the words of the righteous.

Du skal ikke undertrykke en innflytter, for dere vet hvordan det er å være innflyttere, siden dere var innflyttere i Egypt.

And a sojourner shalt thou not oppress: for ye know the heart of a sojourner, seeing ye were sojourners in the land of Egypt.

And six years thou shalt sow thy land, and shalt gather in the increase thereof:

Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto me in the year.

Påskehøytiden skal du holde: syv dager skal du spise usyret brød slik jeg har befalt deg, til den fastsatte tiden i måneden Abib, for i den måneden kom du ut av Egypt; og ingen skal komme tomhendt fram for meg.

The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep: seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, at the time appointed in the month Abib (for in it thou camest out from Egypt); and none shall appear before me empty:

Og høstfesten, de første grøde av dine inntekter, som du sår på marken; og inntagelsen, ved årets slutt, når du samler inn dine inntekter fra marken.

and the feast of harvest, the first-fruits of thy labors, which thou sowest in the field: and the feast of ingathering, at the end of the year, when thou gatherest in thy labors out of the field.

Tre ganger i året skal alle dine menn komme fram for Herren, Jehova.

Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before the Lord Jehovah.

Du skal ikke ofre blodet av mitt offer sammen med syret brød, og fettet av min høytidsslakting skal ikke bli til natten, men spises før morgenen.

Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the fat of my feast remain all night until the morning.

Det første av din jords første grøde skal du bringe til huset til Jehova, din Gud. Du skal ikke koke et kje i sin mors melk.

The first of the first-fruits of thy ground thou shalt bring into the house of Jehovah thy God. Thou shalt not boil a kid in it mother's milk.

Behold, I send an angel before thee, to keep thee by the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.

Take ye heed before him, and hearken unto his voice; provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgression: for my name is in him.

But if thou shalt indeed hearken unto his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.

And I will set thy border from the Red Sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness unto the River: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand: and thou shalt drive them out before thee.

Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.

De skal ikke bo i ditt land, så de ikke får deg til å synde mot meg, for hvis du tjener deres guder, vil det bli en snare for deg.

They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me; for if thou serve their gods, it will surely be a snare unto thee.
