Then Azariah (also called Ahaziah), son of Jehoram, king of Judah, went down to visit Jehoram, son of Ahab, in Jezreel because he was wounded. 7 Ahaziah’s downfall came from God, for when he went to Jehoram, he joined him in meeting Jehu, son of Nimshi, whom the Lord had anointed to destroy the house of Ahab. 8 While Jehu was carrying out judgment on the house of Ahab, he found the officials of Judah and the relatives of Ahaziah, who were serving him, and he killed them.

They found him on the plot of land that had belonged to Naboth the Jezreelite. 22 When Joram saw Jehu, he asked, 'Do you come in peace, Jehu?' Jehu replied, 'How can there be peace as long as the harlotries of your mother Jezebel and her witchcraft are so many?' 23 Joram turned around and fled, calling out to Ahaziah, 'Treachery, Ahaziah!' 24 Then Jehu drew his bow with full strength and shot Joram between his shoulders. The arrow pierced his heart, and he sank down in his chariot. 25 Then Jehu said to Bidkar, his officer, 'Take him and throw him on the plot of land that belonged to Naboth the Jezreelite. Remember how you and I were riding together behind Ahab his father when the LORD pronounced this judgment against him.' 26 'Surely I saw the blood of Naboth and the blood of his sons yesterday, declares the LORD, and I will repay you in this plot of land, declares the LORD. Now then, throw him on that plot of land, just as the word of the LORD declared.' 27 When Ahaziah king of Judah saw this, he fled along the road to Beth-haggan. Jehu pursued him, shouting, 'Shoot him too!' They struck him in his chariot on the way up to Gur near Ibleam, but he fled to Megiddo and died there.
