2Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: as for me, it was in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, and for the footstool of our God; and I had made ready for the building.
1Then David said, This is the house of Jehovah God, and this is the altar of burnt-offering for Israel.
2And David commanded to gather together the sojourners that were in the land of Israel; and he set masons to hew wrought stones to build the house of God.
15So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of Jehovah with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.
6But let none come into the house of Jehovah, save the priests, and they that minister of the Levites; they shall come in, for they are holy: but all the people shall keep the charge of Jehovah.
70He chose David also his servant, And took him from the sheepfolds:
9But unto the sons of Kohath he gave none, because the service of the sanctuary belonged unto them; they bare it upon their shoulders.
