7[ Let] each man [do] according as he hath purposed in his heart: not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

19and not only so, but who was also appointed by the churches to travel with us in [the matter of] this grace, which is ministered by us to the glory of the Lord, and [to show] our readiness:
20Avoiding this, that any man should blame us in [the matter of] this bounty which is ministered by us:
21for we take thought for things honorable, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.
8I robbed other churches, taking wages [of them] that I might minister unto you;
9and when I was present with you and was in want, I was not a burden on any man; for the brethren, when they came from Macedonia, supplied the measure of my want; and in everything I kept myself from being burdensome unto you, and [so] will I keep [myself] .
34For neither was there among them any that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,
35and laid them at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto each, according as any one had need.

29And the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren that dwelt in Judea:
