13Wherefore girding up the loins of your mind, be sober and set your hope perfectly on the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
14as children of obedience, not fashioning yourselves according to your former lusts in [the time of] your ignorance:

1Wherefore leaving the doctrine of the first principles of Christ, let us press on unto perfection; not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
15To the pure all things are pure: but to them that are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.
17Because thou sayest, I am rich, and have gotten riches, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art the wretched one and miserable and poor and blind and naked:
22Seeing ye have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth unto unfeigned love of the brethren, love one another from the heart fervently:
6If thou put the brethren in mind of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished in the words of the faith, and of the good doctrine which thou hast followed [until now] :
10so that ye may approve the things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and void of offence unto the day of Christ;
5But if any of you lacketh wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all liberally and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
3And every one that hath this hope [set] on him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
15Yea, I will give diligence that at every time ye may be able after my decease to call these things to remembrance.
13For every one that partaketh of milk is without experience of the word of righteousness; for he is a babe.

18while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
12Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
24Now unto him that is able to guard you from stumbling, and to set you before the presence of his glory without blemish in exceeding joy,
7so that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ;
