16Give glory to Jehovah your God, before he cause darkness, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains, and, while ye look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness.

21Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; that have eyes, and see not; that have ears, and hear not:
14They meet with darkness in the day-time, And grope at noonday as in the night.
24That which is, is far off and exceeding deep; who can find it out?
3Thy take crafty counsel against thy people, And consult together against thy hidden ones.
22There is no darkness, nor thick gloom, Where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.
10Who is among you that feareth Jehovah, that obeyeth the voice of his servant? he that walketh in darkness, and hath no light, let him trust in the name of Jehovah, and rely upon his God.
7And the seers shall be put to shame, and the diviners confounded; yea, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer of God.
4For thou hast hid their heart from understanding: Therefore shalt thou not exalt [them] .
9Therefore is justice far from us, neither doth righteousness overtake us: we look for light, but, behold, darkness; for brightness, but we walk in obscurity.
6Thy habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, saith Jehovah.
