12rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing stedfastly in prayer;
11I come quickly: hold fast that which thou hast, that no one take thy crown.
35Let your loins be girded about, and your lamps burning;
36and be ye yourselves like unto men looking for their lord, when he shall return from the marriage feast; that, when he cometh and knocketh, they may straightway open unto him.
13Wherefore girding up the loins of your mind, be sober and set your hope perfectly on the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
44Therefore be ye also ready; for in an hour that ye think not the Son of man cometh.

17comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word.

19Ye know [this], my beloved brethren. But let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
19For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of glorying? Are not even ye, before our Lord Jesus at his coming?
42Watch therefore: for ye know not on what day your Lord cometh.
4And when the chief Shepherd shall be manifested, ye shall receive the crown of glory that fadeth not away.
9Give diligence to come shortly unto me:
8Finally, [be] ye all likeminded, compassionate, loving as brethren, tenderhearted, humbleminded:
