4Yea, and what are ye to me, O Tyre, and Sidon, and all the regions of Philistia? will ye render me a recompense? and if ye recompense me, swiftly and speedily will I return your recompense upon your own head.
5Forasmuch as ye have taken my silver and my gold, and have carried into your temples my goodly precious things,

17and [lest] thou say in thy heart, My power and the might of my hand hath gotten me this wealth.
5Is not thy wickedness great? Neither is there any end to thine iniquities.
6For thou hast taken pledges of thy brother for nought, And stripped the naked of their clothing.
7Thou hast not given water to the weary to drink, And thou hast withholden bread from the hungry.

28Now therefore be pleased to look upon me; For surely I shall not lie to your face.
5If indeed ye will magnify yourselves against me, And plead against me my reproach;
22For I know not to give flattering titles; [Else] would my Maker soon take me away.
8Wilt thou even annul my judgment? Wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be justified?
3O my people, what have I done unto thee? and wherein have I wearied thee? testify against me.
23Thou hast not brought me of thy sheep for burnt-offerings; neither hast thou honored me with thy sacrifices. I have not burdened thee with offerings, nor wearied thee with frankincense.
22Then call thou, and I will answer; Or let me speak, and answer thou me.
23then wherefore gavest thou not my money into the bank, and I at my coming should have required it with interest?
12I will declare thy righteousness; and as for thy works, they shall not profit thee.
11Shall I then take my bread, and my water, and my flesh that I have killed for my shearers, and give it unto men of whom I know not whence they are?
22Now consider this, ye that forget God, Lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver:
4Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak; I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.
17Did I take advantage of you by any one of them whom I have sent unto you?
2For what is the portion from God above, And the heritage from the Almighty on high?
25Did not I weep for him that was in trouble? Was not my soul grieved for the needy?
4If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (Yea, I have delivered him that without cause was mine adversary;)
29Say not, I will do so to him as he hath done to me; I will render to the man according to his work.
22As for me, I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: Nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications When I cried unto thee.
