17This is what the Lord says: 'By this you will know that I am the Lord. With the staff that is in my hand, I will strike the water of the Nile, and it will be turned into blood.'
18The fish in the Nile will die, the river will stink, and the Egyptians will not be able to drink water from the Nile.
19Then the Lord said to Moses, "Tell Aaron, 'Take your staff and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt—over their rivers, canals, ponds, and all their reservoirs—and they will turn to blood. There will be blood throughout the land of Egypt, even in wooden and stone containers.'"

7The frogs will depart from you, your houses, your officials, and your people; they will remain only in the Nile.
16Then the LORD said to Moses, "Rise early in the morning and stand before Pharaoh as he is going out to the water. Say to him, ‘This is what the LORD says: Let my people go so that they may worship me.'"
