12 The angel said, 'Do not lay a hand on the boy. Do not harm him in any way, for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.'
13 Then Abraham looked up and saw a ram caught by its horns in a thicket. So he went and took the ram, and he offered it as a burnt offering instead of his son.
14 And Abraham named that place 'The LORD Will Provide,' as it is said to this day, 'On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided.'
17 By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac. He who had received the promises was ready to offer his only son,
16 and said, 'By Myself I have sworn, declares the LORD, because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son,
20 Isaac asked his son, 'How did you find it so quickly, my son?' 'Because the LORD your God brought it to me,' Jacob replied.
