    10he sent his sonne Ioram vnto Dauid to salute him frendly, & to blesse him, because he had foughten with Adad Eser and smytten him (for Thoi had warre with Hadad Eser) and had Iewels with him of syluer, of golde, and of brasse:

    11which kynge Dauid halowed also vnto ye LORDE, with the syluer and golde which he sanctified vnto the LORDE from all the Heythe, whom he subdued,

    12from Siria, fro Moab, from the childre of Ammon, from the Philistynes, fro Amalek, from the spoyle of Hadad Eser ye sonne of Rehob kynge of Zoba.

    13Dauid gat him selfe a name also whan he came, and smote eightene thousande of ye Sirians in ye Salt valley.

    7And Dauid toke the shyldes of golde, yt Hadad Esers seruautes had, & broughte the to Ierusale.

    8And out of Tibehath & Chun the cities of Hadad Eser, toke Dauid very moch brasse, wherof Salomon made the brasen lauer, and pilers, and brasen vessels.

    16But whan the Syrians sawe that they were smytte before Israel, they sent messaungers, and broughte forth ye Syrians which were beyonde the water. And Sophach the chefe captayne of Hadad Eser wente before them.

    17Wha this was tolde Dauid, he gathered all Israel together, and wente ouer Iordane. And whan he came at them, he set ye battayll in araye agaynst them. And Dauid prepared him selfe to ye battayll agaynst ye Syrians, & they foughte with him:

    18but ye Syrias fled before Israel. And Dauid slewe of the Syrians seuen thousande charettes, & fortye thousande fote men. And Sophach the chefe captayne slewe he also.

    19And whan Hadad Esers seruauntes sawe that they were smytte before Israel, they made peace wt Dauid & his seruauntes. And the Syrians wolde helpe the childre of Ammon nomore.
