8 Then Ishai called Abinadab, & made him come before Samuel; he saide, Neither hath the Lord chosen this.

14 And asked not of the Lorde: therefore he slewe him, and turned the kingdome vnto Dauid the sonne of Ishai.
22 And Samuel saide, Hath the Lord as great pleasure in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as when the voyce of the Lord is obeyed? Beholde, to obey is better then sacrifice, and to hearken is better then the fatte of rammes.
19 But the people would not heare the voyce of Samuel, but did say, Nay, but there shall be a King ouer vs.
1 Then sayde the Lord vnto me, Though Moses and Samuel stoode before mee, yet mine affection coulde not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them depart.
