1Nowe afterward when Dauid dwelt in his house, he saide to Nathan the Prophet, Beholde, I dwell in an house of cedar trees, but the Arke of the Lordes couenant remaineth vnder curtaines.

7Nowe therefore thus shalt thou say vnto my seruant Dauid, Thus saith the Lorde of hostes, I tooke thee from the sheepecoat and from following the sheepe, that thou shouldest bee a prince ouer my people Israel.
1Afterwarde when the King sate in his house and the Lorde had giuen him rest rounde about from all his enemies,
3Then Nathan sayde vnto the King, Go, and doe all that is in thine heart: for the Lord is with thee.
4And the same night the worde of the Lorde came vnto Nathan, saying,
5Goe and tell my seruant Dauid, Thus saieth the Lord, Shalt thou buylde me an house for my dwelling?
6For I haue dwelt in no house since the time that I brought the children of Israel out of Egypt vnto this day, but haue walked in a tent and tabernacle.
7In al the places wherein I haue walked with all the children of Israel, spake I one worde with any of the tribes of Israel when I commaunded the iudges to feede my people Israel? or sayde I, Why build ye not me an house of cedar trees?
17According to all these wordes, and according to all this vision, Nathan spake thus vnto Dauid.
18Then King Dauid went in, and sate before the Lorde, and sayde, Who am I, O Lorde God, and what is mine house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?
19And this was yet a small thing in thy sight, O Lord God, therefore thou hast spoken also of thy seruants house for a great while: but doth this apperteine to man, O Lord God?
15According to all these wordes, and according to al this vision. So Nathan spake to Dauid.
16And Dauid the King went in and sate before the Lord & said, Who am I, O Lord God, and what is mine house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?
2And King Dauid stoode vp vpon his feete; and saide, Heare ye me, my brethren and my people: I purposed to haue buylt an house of rest for the Arke of the couenant of the Lord, and for a footestoole of our God, and haue made ready for the building,
1And Dauid made him houses in the citie of Dauid, and prepared a place for the Arke of God, and pitched for it a tent.
22And lo, while she yet talked with the King, Nathan also the Prophet came in.
23And they tolde the King, saying, Beholde, Nathan the Prophet; when he was come in to the King, hee made obeisance before the King vpon his face to the ground.
24And Nathan saide, My lorde, O King, hast thou said, Adoniiah shall reigne after mee, and he shall sit vpon my throne?
7Then Nathan sayd to Dauid, Thou art the man. Thus sayth the Lord God of Israel, I anoynted thee King ouer Israel, and deliuered thee out of the hand of Saul,
10And the Lorde hath performed his worde that he spake: and I am risen vp in the roume of Dauid my father, and am set on the throne of Israel as the Lord promised, & haue built an house to the Name of the Lord God of Israel.
11And I haue set the Arke there, wherein is the couenant of the Lorde, that he made with the children of Israel.
27Is it true in deede that God will dwell on the earth? beholde, the heauens, and the heauens of heauens are not able to conteine thee: howe much more vnable is this house that I haue built?
5And beholde, I purpose to build an house vnto ye Name of the Lord my God, as the Lord spake vnto Dauid my father, saying, Thy sonne, whom I wil set vpon thy throne for thee, he shal build an house vnto my Name.

27For thou, O Lord of hostes, God of Israel, hast reueiled vnto thy seruant, saying, I will build thee an house: therefore hath thy seruant bene bold to pray this prayer vnto thee.
7And it was in the heart of Dauid my father to builde an house vnto the Name of the Lord God of Israel,
8But the Lorde sayde to Dauid my father, Whereas it was in thine heart to buylde an house vnto my Name, thou diddest well, that thou wast so minded.

18And the cedar of the house within was carued with knops, and grauen with floures: all was cedar, so that no stone was seene.
19Also he prepared the place of the oracle in the mids of the house within, to set the Arke of the couenant of the Lord there.
20And the Lorde hath made good his worde that he spake: and I am risen vp in the roume of Dauid my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the Lord promised, and haue built the house for the Name of the Lord God of Israel.
21And I haue prepared therein a place for the Arke, wherein is the couenant of the Lorde which he made with our fathers, whe he brought them out of the lande of Egypt.
7And Dauid said to Salomon, My sonne, I purposed with my selfe to builde an house to the Name of the Lorde my God,
11And since the time that I set Iudges ouer my people of Israel) & I will giue thee rest from al thine enemies: also the Lorde telleth thee, that he will make thee an house.
2And I haue built thee an house to dwell in, an habitation for thee to dwell in for euer.
