11Then came there a famine ouer all the land of Egypt and Chanaan, and great affliction, that our fathers found no sustenance.
12But when Iacob heard that there was corne in Egypt, he sent our fathers first:

5Then the Egyptians shall knowe that I am the Lord, when I stretch foorth mine hand vpon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.
20God therefore prospered the midwiues, and the people multiplied and were very mightie.
7For when the children of Israel sinned against the Lorde their God, which had brought them out of the land of Egypt, fro vnder ye hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt, & feared other gods,
6And they tooke their cattell & their goods, which they had gotten in the lande of Canaan, and came into Egypt, both Iaakob and all his seede with him,
13Then he saide to Abram, Knowe for a suretie, that thy seede shalbe a stranger in a land, that is not theirs, foure hundreth yeeres, and shall serue them: & they shall intreate them euill.
7Ioseph also brought Iaakob his father, and set him before Pharaoh; Iaakob saluted Pharaoh.
8And I will bring you into the land which I sware that I woulde giue to Abraham, to Izhak, and to Iaakob, and I will giue it vnto you for a possession: I am the Lord.
